ALL ABOUT MARTINE PAGÈS

Martine  Pagès was born on 3 July 1963 in St Germain en Laye. After spending 20 years working in selective perfumery, she won two literary awards for her short stories:  in 2007, the PPDA award for short stories and in 2008, “Léa, ma vie” was selected to be published in “Un parfum d’enfance”, an anthology by Volpilière Editions.

In 2009, she set up as a freelance photographer. Very quickly, she specialised in portraits of celebrities and was signed up by photographer’s galleries inParis and Miami to take photos of actors.

In 2010, her first novel was born: " Céanothes et potentilles" (Volpilière Editions) and it contained a preface by the actor Philippe Leroy-Beaulieu. A few months later, “Mon guide de la Défume”, her testimony on giving up smoking was published by Editions Guy Tredaniel.

To begin 2020, Martine has just finished writing an icy thriller. The illustrator Marty Crouz designed the cover. In parallel, she has also written books for young children with illustrations by Yoann Anblelzdu.  She is looking for an editor for these two projects. She presents to us today a novel which is light hearted and humorous,  a genuine satire of the world of sales. "Serial vendeuses -Histoires de parfumeuses". The cover is by Krystel Jacob (http://www.krystel-jacob.com/).

"Serial vendeuse - Histoires de parfumeuses" is a satirical look at the world of shop sales. Occasionally caustic, it is also humorous and fun. The title of each chapter is the name of a saleswoman and of course, each one sees her job from her point of view. You will look at department stores in a different light after reading it.
